LITTLE EAGLES
Ages 4- 6
Our youngest learners will focus on balance, agility and movements that help them as they discover how to roll, when to use strength and technique. Most importantly this program will be fun and teach the importance of being safe while training.
EAGLES
Ages 7-12
At this stage, our learners will start learning concepts that can be used when they start live sparring with other kids. At this age, kids have a natural instinct to grapple and will learn how to connect techniques as they learn how to control their opponents.
TEEN'S CLASS
Ages 13-15
Our teenagers are physically ready to transition to the adult program and many even stay and join the adult class if they are physically able to handle the challenge. Students who are beginning white belts at this stage will need to attend at least 3 months before they can join the adults. Teens will learn how to focus all that energy and learn to flow while training. Self-defense and more submission techniques will be emphasized in these classes.
ADULT FUNDAMENTALS
Ages 16 and up
Fundamental classes will focus on the basics of six positions. Closed Guard, Side Control, Full Mount, Back Mount, Half Guard, and Open Guard. Students will drill techniques in these positions a minimum of 40 class hours before they can join the advanced class. Professors and coaches have discretion on anyone who can move up earlier based on skill level.
ADULT ADVANCED
Ages 16 and up
This class will focus on systems within jiu jitsu such as Kimuras, Lasso Guard, Honey Hole, etc. Each system may take up to two weeks as we learn, share and explore until we have a level of mastery. At this level, we hope to invite guest professor’s to come and share their variations of a particular system or technique. Sparring will be the main focus as we work up to 10 five minute rounds leaving you exhausted. OSS!
